In a bid to build public trust and confidence in the Uganda Police Force, the Human Rights Network Uganda has launched a handbook that answers 100 question frequently asked by citizens.
The pocket handbook on policing post conflict communities will empower both the police officers and members of the public on matters of human rights, law and order.
The executive director Human Rights Network Uganda, Mohammed Ndifuna says that the publication was compiled based research on policing practices in post conflict regions.
Ndifuna explains that the handbook highlights basic policing principles and standards for community policing that are geared towards addressing current challenges to security such as crime.
He said that the book offering the reader invaluable information that would ensure respect, protection and promotion of fundamental human rights.
