At least 6,000 children in Bulisa district are affected by epilepsy which the district woman mp, Beatrice Mpairwe says that the problem has left parents helpless.

Mpairwe says that the ministry of health need find measures to manage the disease which is being un noticed.

Mpairwe says that the problem has been worsened by lack of medicines in the hospital coupled with scarce medical personnel at the few health centres.

She says that the problem is so bad that some families have at least two children affected by the disease that has increased the level of poverty since parents can’t work and they spending most of the time looking after sick children
