Government Whip calls parliament’s value for money audit

The government chef whip Kasule Lumumba has expressed disappointment
for failure by parliament to handle the Value for money audit reports.
These reports are supposed to be scrutinized by PAC But according to
the Chief Whip they are not given due attention as it should have
been.
She says that these are the reports that show what is exactly on the
ground and therefore special attention should be accorded to them.
According to Lumumba only one report out of more than 40 auditor
generals report has been tabled by the Public accounts committee.
She however said that as the commission they are trying to come up
with strategy of improving the reporting mechanism of committee
reports to parliament as the way of giving such such reports
prominence.
