FDC MP invites Museveni for a party

It seems opposition spirit of not cooperating with people in government is soon dying. The latest from Uganda’s main opposition party, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) indicates that Rukungiri Municipality MP, Roland Kaginda invited president Museveni to a party.

The FDC members in Kampala and Rukungiri got shocked when their FDC member of parliament, Kaginda, reportedly claimed to have invited president Museveni to come to Rukungiri a claim he made at Christ the King church Rukungiri.

The FDC Member of Parliament also contributed one million shillings on Museveni’s portrait during the fundraising function at Christ the King Church.

But president Museveni embarrassed FDC MP Kaginda by saying that if he has sent in his invitation to him, then it was still on the way, that he had not seen it. Museveni told the people at the church on Sunday that the invitation that brought him to Rukungiri was that one of area Deputy RDC Harriet Nakamya.

We are told that FDC members and leaders in Kampala are very annoyed with their member of parliament for claiming to have invited president Museveni, a claim he made at Christ the king when every one knew Museveni’s tour was mainly to disorganise FDC in western Uganda.
