Uganda government to impose curfew on Kampala

It seems the people who claim that Uganda is a ‘failed’ state have a point. Impecable sources in government have told us that the authorities in government are planning to impose a night curfew in the main parts of Kampala after reports that sections of the youth were planning to cause chaos in the city anytime from today.

Sources in government told us at Statehouse Nakasero today that the state has no details about the youth attacks but they have information that they want to assault Kampala at night.

Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba confirms that some youth were planning to cause chaos in Kampala but the government pleads with all citizens to remain calm, promising that the police have capacity to put the situation under control in case it happens.

President Museveni’s government has not had curfews for a long time now. The sources says that the government will officially announce the curfew if need for it arises.
