The Uganda police force issued yet another terror alert warning the people of Kampala of possible attacks from some youth linked to Al Shabaab this week.
However opposition activists led by opposition leader, Col. Kizza Besigye has that the police alarm is purely intended to scare the supporters of Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who were preparing to escort him to his office at the KCCA building.
Besigye also says that the police alert is meant to stiffle activities at the Uganda úniversities that were in full gear for the simultaneous launch of the branches of the newly formed organisation, FREEDOM AND UNITY FRONT (FUF) whose main body was launched in London this weekend.
The uniersities are preparing to launch branches of this organisation, which most Ugandans now see as the only body that has a realistic agenda of bringing change in Uganda. Accordong to sources, the FUF has a broad based leadership that is composed of Heavy weight academics, political figures, and accomplished military figures. The security in Uganda fears that FUF could be a military wing of the opposition in Uganda.
