As the world is still mourning the former South African president Nelson Mandela, Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) Vice President Joseph Bbosa has no doubt what lessons Ugandans should learn from the dead global icon.
During an interview in Kampala yesterday, Bbosa said Mandela’s decision to serve just one presidential term and retire should be a lesson to “African presidents” who claim to be building their countries and end up “destroying what they found in place”.
Bbosa did not name the presidents. But many of the political analysts have named President Museveni of Uganda and Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.
