Former South Africa president, Nelson Mandela is dead and he will never come again to the world. But sources at State House have told one of our reporters that Museveni has released two billion shillings for Mandela’s burial arrangements.
The president has ordered for the release of this money at the time when hospitals in Uganda have no drugs, teachers have not got money for the last two months and some soldiers have not got their last month’s salary.
According to one of President Museveni’s blue eyed boy at State House, whom we shall not name in this story because of the security of his job, part of the two billion shillings will facilitate the president’s travel costs to South Africa to attend Mandela’s burial. The rest of the money has gone on condolences and to help the South African Embassy in Kampala to facilitate Nelson Mandela Memorial Service for Ugandans in Kampala.
The service is being organised by the South African Embassy in Uganda at All saints Cathedral Nakasero Hill. It will be attended by the diplomatic community, government officials, well-wishers, and anyone willing to push the legacy of Nelson Mandela into Generations to Come.
