Uganda to acquire digital machines to control epilepsy

 

 

The government of Uganda has recommended that programmes to control parasitic diseases and access to better antenatal care could substantially reduce the prevalence of the epilepsy disease in Uganda and East Africa at large. Uganda is located in East Africa.

 

The Uganda cabinet meeting of last Thursday resolved that facilities for diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy is needed in order to eradicate epilepsy.

The cabinet resolved that a digitalised system be used by hospitals in Uganda and local governments to register births and deaths as part of the initiatives to enhance efficiency at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau and suddenly control epilepsy spread.

The Uganda government also plans to use a system that uses internet connected computers (Mobile Vital Records System) in hospitals to control epilepsy.
