Treatment of syphilis

 

 

Syphills is a curable, bacterial infection, caused by the bacteria Treponema pallidum. The bacteria enter the body through mucous membranes or abraded (torn or cut) skin.

Once syphills is inside your body, it enters the blood stream. Syphills is a sexually transmitted bacterial infection that initially causes genital ulcers (sores).

If syphills is untreated, these ulcers can then lead to more serious symptoms of infection.

Syphilis also disproportionately affects African -Americans, who represent bout 41 percent of all the cases of syphills reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in USA.

HIV infection and syphilis are also linked. Syphilis increases the risk of transmitting as well as getting infected with HIV.
