A football group demand government to suspend FUfa

The Association of Uganda Footballers’ Association wants government to suspend all their dealings with FUFA Ltd.

This was raised in their petition presented to parliament pertaining to the legitimacy of FUFA Ltd a private company limited by guarantee and allegedly masquerading as the official National football association.

The Ntenjeru South mp Patrick Nsanja Mabiriizi who is also the captain of the parliamentary sports team and one of the ex-internationals said that FUFA Ltd cannot be left to run football affairs yet it is a company with a sole aim of making money through business transactions.

In their presentation to the committee on education and sports, the footballers want FUFA Ltd to vacate the FUFA house because they are illegally occupying these premises because they are meant for FUFA.

Nsanja has also challenged the National Council for Sports to clarify on their position about FUFA vs FUFA Ltd and where they derive the mandate to endorse a private company to manage national football.
