The opposition says that the talks to resolve the issues surrounding
the Lord Mayor with government have collapsed.
The opposition leader Nathan Nadala Mafabi has told parliament this
afternoon that the talks collapsed because the government side was not
willing to compromise in the talks.
He said that government remained oppressive to the elected leadership
of the city and warned that government stops a mentality of must win
whenever it’s in the dialogue.
However in response the Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi told mps that the
negotiations were going on well, and that they have discussed the
matter at length and very soon they will reach an agreement. Track

The opposition side was represented by Mathias Nsubuga, M.P Bukoto

Affairs; together with Mr. Peter Walubiri and Mr. Caleb Alaka, the
