Ugandans have witnessed a number of people earning huge salaries and businesses but when they die we burry them in bushes, farms and in bushy banana plantations. Not so long ago, Uganda’s minister for East African Affairs, Eliya Kategaya died…but his family members in Ntungamo scrubled to find somewhere to put his body. So in this article, we bring you the list of very prominent persons including MPs whom we are told they don’t have houses.
- Suleiman Balyejusa, the MP for Budiope East in Busoga sub region. We are told this MP doesn’t have a house of his own. He rents a house in Kampala and the news from his constituency indicates that he is yet to get one there.
- Gerald Karuhanga, a youth MP for Western Uganda. Despite being vocal, Hon. Karuhanga is still staying with his parents in Ntungamo.
- We have been also told that Uganda’s lands minister, Daudi Migereko for all the years he has served NRM government only owns houses in Kampala but he doesn’t own any building in Butembe, the area he represents in parliament.
- Deputy Speaker of Uganda Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah has no house in his home district Gulu. The people of Omoro where the MP was born are wondering why a super loaded Deputy Speaker is waiting to be buried in a bushes if God ends his life.
