Kween MP Abdi Chemaswet together with the Western region Youth MP Gerald karuhanga have sais that the censure motion against the minister for presidency Frank Tumwebaze partly achieved the intended objective.
The statement comes after the ten days provided for in the parliamentary rules of procedure elapsed before the mps to complete the process of collecting the required signatures.
The duo dismissed today’s media reports that their motion had collapsed, stressing that one of its intended political purposes had been achieved.
Chemaswet says that at least the executive and Tumwebaze himself were pressurized by the censure motion to the extent of opting for dialogue with the Kampala Lord Mayor.
Quoting the late Nelson Mandela who cherished negotiations, Karuhanga further explains that the the movers of the motion embraced the opportunity to dialogue since government had revised its approach about the Kampala Lord Mayor.
