The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga has asked the international community to stop harassing Uganda’s ambassadors abroad over the Anti –homosexual bill recently passed by parliament of Uganda.
Kadaga made the remarks while meeting ambassadors at parliament who had come to raise the challenges they face before the committee of foreign affairs.
She named other African countries like Senegal, Nigeria that have passed the similar law but their Government’s are not being harassed.
The speaker asked the ambassadors to remain firm about their sovereignty, and don’t allow any intimidations.
Kadaga’s remarks comes a day after cabinet resolved to throw out the recently passed anti homosexuality bill for the members of ruling party to start discussing it afresh.
