MPS backs UPDF deployment in south sudan for an agreed specific time to rescue Ugandans.
Mps who include Merdad segona,Theodro sekikubo, Richard sebuliba, Gefrey Ekanya ,Regan Okumu among others were opposed to UPDF deployment in a manner which looks permanent in south sudan.
Mp wadri said that is against updf in south sudan to take sides because it will create problems to Uganda and he proposed for two months UPDF stay in south sudan only for humanitarian assistance.
The minister for Defence Dr.CRISPUS Kiyong while moving a motion for parliament approval to deploy UPDF in South sudan said that the troops are in south sudan under the agreement made with the government of south sudan and protecting regional security.
He told mps that UPDF in south sudan so as it doesnot allow the fighting in south sudan be taken as advantage by ADF and LRA rebels also to attack Uganda.
