The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Moses Kafeero has said that in order to join Uganda police force one has to have a degree from a recognised University or a senior 6 certificate of education.

The successful candidates undergo physical and mental tests to check whether they can handle the work of police properly and legally.

Uganda currently plans to recruit one police officer for every 500 people to meet the UN standards.
