President Museveni has summoned the National Resistance Movement parliamentary Caucus to state House Entebbe for another party meeting and discuss the road map to 2016.
president Musveni together with NRM mps this evening are expected to discuss the way forward on the Road map of NRM Party Primaries, Amama Mbabazi’s suspected schemes to run for president in 2016 and MPs will also today approve the recent signatures endorsing president Museveni to stand for presidency in 2016 among others.
Some of the NRM MPs who talked to journalists at Parliament want Amama Mbabazi to step down from the Post of Party secretary general because he has messed up the NRM Party primaries they say he has failed to control party’s primaries elections.
Bukooli County MP in Namayengo District Peter Okeyo says NRM party elections were messed up; it’s only the NRM Caucus sitting today that will rectify some of the messes to avoid clashes during party primaries in 2015.
Ibanda District Woman MP Margret Kiboijana says the clashes at the top party position struggling for presidency have caused division not only in the party but also at the grassroots.
She adds that the Caucus must have a road map so that NRM MPs are ready for primaries in 2015.
