Scientists in France have inveted an artificial heart with they can put in a human being and he/she stays alive for over 5 years. The heart was made by the French company Carmat. Reports indicate that the French company in December 2013 put this artificial heart in 76-year-old man and he stayed alive after the operation.

Dr. Georges Pompidou of EuropeanHospital in Paris confirmed the development and said at the time when they fitted the man with an artificial heart, he was suffering from terminal heart failure.

He says this old man had remained with a few days to die because his sick heart could no longer pump enough blood to sustain his body.

Carmat’s bioprosthetic artificial heart is designed to replace the real heart, mimicking nature’s work using biological materials and sensors.

Georges Pompidou says their aim is to help thousands of patients in the world who die each year while waiting for a donor of the heart. It is said that some rich men have been trafficking people from poor countries and later cut their hearts out to save the rich men. It is said that this hahabit is common in some German, Ukrain, USA, Indian and French hospitals.
