UPC reports Museveni to UN over massacre

Uganda Peoples’ Congress (UPC) party has threatened to report president Museveni and his cohorts in Uganda’s ruling party, the National Resistance Movement to United Nations over murder, massacre, and killings of civilians.
UPC President, Olara Otunnu has pointed out several episodes of atrocities and crimes Museveni has reportedly done under his command as Uganda’s president and commander in chief of armed forces.

Otunnu says Museveni made atrocities in Luwero while he commanded a civil war in Uganda between 1981 and 1986. That Museveni commanded the massacres of Muslims in Ankole in 1979, during the time when Museveni was commander of the Western Axis of anti-Amin forces.

The UPC president says his party is ready to report Museveni in UN over the massacre at Ombaci, in West Nile, in 1981; the scorched-earth counter-insurgency operations and genocide in northern and eastern Uganda between 1986 and 2006; and the on going wanton killings of unarmed demonstrators on the streets of Kampala.

Otunnu says a lot of disappearances and mysterious deaths continue to happen in Uganda under Museveni’s watch and authority.
