The Uganda traders’ have once again praised Uganda army, UPDF for fighting South Sudan rebels and their leader Dr. Riek Machar.
The chairperson of Uganda Manufacturer’s Association (UMA) Amos Nzeyi says that the Uganda army presence in South Sudan protected well Uganda’s political and business interests.
Ugandan traders however lost in billions of shillings as the movement of their goods were halted due to insecurity in South Sudan.
Nzeyi says Ugandan traders are going to use the rainy season to plant more food crops that will be sold to South Sudan once the war ends.
However some critics put it that the UPDF presence in South Sudan has established a “completely hopeless situation in South Sudan.”
