Residents of Fort Portal municipality have threatened to demonstrate
as the water crisis continues to worsen.

The most affected areas are Bukwali in East Division, Rwengoma and
Nyabukara trading centre in West division.

The aggrieved residents have given National Water and Sewerage
Corporation three days to have provided them with water or else they
storm the streets and demonstrate over their incompetence.

Moses Musinguzi,a lead petitioner and deputy head teacher St.Peter
Primary school said the pipes along Bomb Nyabukara road broke down and
damaged by the Fort Portal engineers during the construction of the
road.

John Tibenda,the NWSC Manager Fort Portal branch, says the district
engineers never informed never informed them when pipes were destroyed
during a road construction.
