On 10th April, 2014, CCEDU will deploy 40 trained (and accredited) community observers to observe polling day activities across the 145 polling stations the Bubulo West constituency.
Observers will sample at least 50% of the total polling stations in the Constituency.
Their E-day mandate will include observing the vote counting, tallying and result announcement processes. The polling day observations of the monitors will be the basis for CCEDU’s E-day statements.
The CCEDU community observers will officially remain in the constituency for a period of two (2) days after the by-election to observe the post-polling environment. CCEDU will compile and release its Bubulo West by-election report within a week (7) days after the by-election.
Bubulo West is located in Manafwa district in the eastern part of Uganda and has a total of 15 sub-counties. The 2010 estimates have put the population of the Constituency at 153,000. Bubulo West has a total of 64,749 voters spread out in its 145 polling stations.
