RDCs under paid and servive on corruption

 

The Members of Parliament on presidential affairs committee has asked Uganda government to increase salaries of president Museveni’s aides’ populary known as Residential District Commissioners.

While meeting officials from the President’s office in Kampala today, the MPs claimed Museveni’s aides are under paid. The MPs want the least paid RDC to earn 5 million Uganda shillings per month.

RDCs earn 1.5 million shillings per month and their deputies 1.4 million shillings.   But some RDCs are so poor to an extent that they servive on corruption and allowances from workshops.
