Ugandan Mufti Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje has returned back to Uganda after a three weeks’ officials visit to Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Mubajje left Uganda on March 1st and returned on Wednesday March after meeting several high profile officials in the three countries he visited.
Addressing the staff of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) shortly after returning, the Mufti said the focus of his visit was to seek partnerships with Muslim brothers and sisters in the areas of Education, health and Islamic propagation.
Mr. Mubajje says he held discussions with his hosts in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Abu DHABI who expressed their interest in partnering with UMSC in various programs.
During the discussions, the Mufti said that he informed his hosts about the ongoing programs at UMSC as well as Uganda government programs. Following the discussions, a high profile delegation from Saudi Arabia and Dubai will soon come to Uganda to bolster the partnership with UMSC. The Mufti was received at the airport by the UMSC Secretary General Eng. Siraj Zaid Kavuma, the UMSC Secretary for Religious Affairs, Murshid Luwemba and the Secretary for Finance and Planning Mr. Shaban Magala.
