Yesterday former Forum for Democratic Change President Col. Kizza Besigye traveled to Western Uganda with his friend Justice minister Kahinda Otafiire in his government vehicle.
When they made a stop over at Mbarara classic hotel, some young people came to them after they had seen Besigye getting out of the car. Very disappointed indeed and they said; “Naiwe owutubaire twesigire Kutuzahura wagyenda-Watusigaho?” literally meaning that even you the one we had trust in to liberate us have crossed to the NRM government? Besigye explained to them that this was a friend’s car and that they were going for a function and he just traveled with Otafiire and then they were happy again.
This may mean two things; one is that as leaders people have a lot of trust in you, you therefore need to work very had to liberate them. Secondary that some people have a lot of anger against government and whoever is associated with it. But when will this stop?
