catholics unveils natural family planing manual

n their annual general meeting held today in Kampala, the Uganda catholic medical bureau (UCMB) has launched the natural family method manual that will be used to teach masses on how to regulate birth without using contraceptives.

According to the general secretary of the bureau, Sam Orach, the methods have been used but not on a wider scale by the communities and hopes that with the launching of the manual, then more information will be passed on to the public for them to use some of the methods.

He also adds that they will have to use the same manual when training students in all Christian based schools as well as their based health care facilities

They also stress that they need more funding to their health facilities to help finance the activities in a bid to improve the quality of service delivery to the community.

The meeting is used by the bureau to evaluate the performance of the health department across the country in their health facilities and also forge ways of improving the department and service offered.
