It is surprising but true. Some parents in Uganda force girls of 10 years into prostitution to boost their families’ income.

The speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga says the most affected region in the country is Busoga.

Kadaga says that reports indicate that Mayuge and Iganga districts are the hub of girl child prostitution in Uganda.

The parliamentary speaker says girls as young as ten years are being paid five hundred shillings for commercial sex.
