The Graduate Studies in International Affairs (GSIA) program in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, in partnership with the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) and Bjørknes College, offers a scholarship each year for full-time study in the Master of International Affairs specialising in Peace and Conflict Studies degree program.
Oslo Peace Scholarship covers tuition fees, and students receive some funding towards living costs.
The Master in Peace and Conflict Studies program brings together academics at the forefront of international relations, peace, and conflict research from two sides of the globe.
Students spend one semester in Norway pursuing courses in Conflict Resolution and Peace-Building, Ethics of Peace and War, and Gender and War.
The international relations courses are taken at ANU in Canberra. Participants have full access to the specialist libraries of the Nobel Institute and PRIO.
For Canberra, the scholarship covers A$12,000 tuition fees and A$6,200 (in fortnightly payments) towards living costs as a stipend.
For Oslo, the scholarship covers NOK 40,000 in tuition fee and NOK 30,000 towards living costs as a stipend.
