Donors and section of medics and civil society organisations plan to influence Uganda to legalize abortion.

The development is part of a broad campaign by the European cuntries to keep Africa underdeveloped.

The Global Prolife Alliance (GPA) and the African Anti-abortion Coalition (AAAC) have warned that European countries and organisations are sponsoring opinion leaders and NGOs to campaign for an amendment of laws to legalize abortion.

Dr. Philip C. Njemanze, who leads the anti-abortion campaign in Nigeria, has asked Uganda to guard against pro-abortion activities.

Analysits say that legalizing abortion in Uganda will not decrease maternal mortality as its promoters want Africans to believe.
