Al Shabaab speak on Kenyan bomb blasts

Following bomb blasts in the main Somali district of the Kenyan capital Nairobi, Uganda has beefed up security in its capital Kampala. The blasts in Kenya left six people dead and scores of others injured, raising suspicions of terrorism.

Nairobi police commander Benson Kibue told weinformers.net that the injured people numbered over 25 and they are in various hospitals. The blasts targeted restaurants and a local clinic in Eastleigh, Little Mogadishu, in Kenya.

Uganda sent its military experts to Kenya to establish the type of explosives the terrorists used. The Ugandan military intelligence operatives have already confirmed to Kenya that the blasts were homemade bombs.

Nairobi-Kenya has in recent years been the scene of several bomb explosions attributed to Islamist extremists. However, Al Shabaab fighters have not yet claimed responsibility of the blasts.
