The minister for internal affairs Gen. Robert Aronda Nyakairima has shocked MPs after he revealed that some leaders have started decompaigning the national IDs calling them Satanic.

This is mainly in Busoga where the speaker Rebecca Kadaga is born and greater Masaka where the vice president Edward Ssekandi is born

Appearing before the defense and internal affairs committee chaired by Benny Bugembe, Aronda said that his recent sensitization meetings about IDs in those regions have revealed that some leaders are totally against the IDs.

He says in these areas, there are some cult leaders who have vowed to block people from registering for thee IDs calling them ungodly.

Meanwhile, the truth about the exact cause of death of 1000s of people in the Kibwetere inferno is not about to come up after the internal affairs ministry askd for more time to investigate the matter which occurred 15yrs ago.

The ministry which had appeared before MPs to explain the outcome of their investigations said they need more time and also called for the formation of a commission of inquiry which involves all security agencies and other bodies to carry out the investigations.

State minister James Baba says the current investigations were done by police but were halfway done.
