Chinese to construct city in East Africa

In what looks like a bid to grab land in East Africa, the Chinese have reportedly made a money deal with some key Kenyan leaders in exchange for a vast land on which the Chinese intend to construct a city that will match with Dubai.

According to sources in Kenyan government, the city will cost China over 65 billion Kenyan shillings. The construction works of the Chinese city in Kenya (East Africa) will be launched next month by the Chinese Prime minister Li Keqiang. The Kenyan authorities clarify that the city construction may begin at the mid or end of 2014. From Kenya, the Chinese Primier will visit Nigeria, Angola and Ethiopia. The Chinese City to be built in East Africa will be located around  Athi River, Machakos County — about 30km from Nairobi capital city of Kenya.

In the Chinese city, the Chinese will put in skyscrapers and Chinese Shopping malls among others. But Pan Africanists hold fear that this could be a Chinese ploy to create base in Africa that they will kick start to capture and colonise Africa.
