President Museveni has held discussions with Turkish entrepreneurs who are planning to invest in Uganda’s mineral sector. The Turkish investors are also planning to dig tin, copper and aluminium.

Museveni assured the Turkish investors that Uganda is ready to partner with them to ensure that the mining sector becomes economically beneficial to the people of Uganda.

The Turkish delegation to Uganda was led by Muhammet Cengiz, who is the Turkish overseas Investment and Business Development Manager.

In attendance was the Turkish Ambassador to Uganda, Fadil Yazici. Turkey is one of the world’s major minerals producers.
