Following a week long consultative meetings between president Museveni who is also NRM Party Chairman, and the leaders of the NRM youth league, very many issues on economic development, youth unemployment and politics were discussed.

To further this debate and be able to realise its objectives, it was agreed that Museveni further meets youth leaders at the grass root in order to understand their plight better.

And therefore the following dates were agreed upon for the regional meetings;

1. 21st May, 2014, Northern Region, 26th May, 2014, Central Region, 27th May, 2014- Western Region and on 28th May, 2014, Eastern Region. The following people were assigned with preparation and organisation of these conferences.

For Northern Region Hon. Evelyne Anite and Mr. Omodo Omodo, Central Region (Hon. Nakabale Patrick and Mr. Seruyinda William), Western Region Kyobuguzi Aggrey and Mr. Nuwajuna Justus. The NRM official in charge of Eastern Region is Hon. Ogwang Peter and Davis Kiwanuka. It was further agreed that the National Delegates Conference that had been slated for 15th May, 2014 be postponed to 25th July, 2014 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
