Rwanda calls on Uganda parliament to ratify security packs

Brig. Gen. Joseph Nzabamwita, the Defence and Military spokesperson has called on the parliament of Uganda, the Parliament of Kenya and the Parliament of Rwanda to ratify the security packs.

The pacts cater for East African regional security and give responsibility to defence chiefs to work on their implementation mechanism.

Gen. Nzabamwita says it would be naïve to look at the individual country’s interests.

Brig. Gen. Joseph Nzabamwita says the implementation process of the security packs will involve parliamentary ratifications of the pacts. The parliamentary ratifications of the pacts are ongoing in signatory states: Rwanda Kenya , Uganda, Burundi and South Sudan.
