Gulu University has extended its deadline for applications for consideration for admission under the private sponsorship scheme. Gulu’s new deadline for private admission is June 20, farther from May 30.
The extension is attributed to poor turn up for applications at Gulu University. The spokesperson of Gulu University, Mahmood Khalid says their university made the decision to extend the deadline after their first call for private admissions did not receive the predicted response of applicants by May 30.
Khalid says Gulu University plans to admit between 2,000 and 2,500 students under the private sponsorship scheme. Gulu charges a non-refundable fee of 50, 000 shillings for Ugandans as fees for applying under the private admission scheme.
Application forms for Gulu University can be obtained from and returned to their main campus in Gulu, their branches in Kitgum and Lira and their coordination office at UMA show grounds in Lugogo, Kampala.
