The embattled Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has threatened to sue the Kampala Minister Frank Tumwenze once he continues to make statements in the media indicating that he is not the Lord Mayor.
Lukwago says he has today secured a court order from the Supreme Court that he going to serve Tumwebaze stopping him from violating with what Justice Lydia Mugambe ruled.
In her ruling, the high court Justice Mugambe stated that the injunctive orders against the Electoral Commission not to organize by-elections will be in place until Lukwago’s main application, in Lukwago was challenging the KCCA tribunal report that led to his controversial impeachment on November 25 last year, is disposed off.
Lukwago further gives Tumwebaze 7 day’s ultimatum to give him back his security vehicle allegedly was confiscate by Copper Motors in connivance with the Minister.
He also threatens to sue Tumwebaze at the Supreme Court over violation court orders once he fails to resume the payments of his security officers and staff he is working with.
Meanwhile, Erias Lukwago has appealed to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaaga asking her to reject the approving of the ending Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) financial budget.
Lukwago says the 2013/14 KCCA financial year has operated illegally since the Authority has not fully been operating with the Lord Mayor locked and the councilors underperforming.
He says KCCA’s 2013/14 budget had about 200bnshs of which 130bnshs got from the government grants, 68bnshs from the net tax collection whose priorities have not been approved by the Authority.
