Russia: European countries out to influence development agenda in Africa

 

Although Rusia and East African countries are far apart geographically, there are numerous opportunities Russia is planning to do with them.

Dr Andrey Polyakov, the Russian envoy in East Africa says the East African integration process would enable member countries of Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania and Kenya to reduce their dependency from western donors and European governments who are out to influence their development agenda in the East African Region.

He says Russia is ready to develop the internal capacities of East African countries to highly appreciate the ongoing integration process.

Dr. Andrey says the East African integration is helping member states to gain experience through cooperation in numerous fields.
