On Wednesday in the Daily Monitor newspaper, the king (omukama) of Tooro Mr. Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru vowed to go on a hunger strike showing his disappointment to President Museveni.

Museveni is creating many kingdoms within already existing kingdoms like Tooro. Last week president Museveni crowned one of his military officers, Col. Kamya, as the new king of Bamba, Babwitsi and vonoma in bundibugyo district.

But this didnt go well also with the King of Rwenzururu, Charles Mumbere, who also mantains that the Bamba are within the boundaries and jurisdiction of the Bukonzo kingdom.

According to the 2002 Uganda National census, Bamba add up to a population of 50,000 people within Bundibugyo!  Many Ugandans wonder how Museveni is too much in this frenzy of coronation of kings without kingdoms!

Just imagine how the president is creating these pseudo kings where they have never existed and the ancient kingdom of Ankore remains unrestored? Museveni’s critics think these are regime kings.
