Finance minister Maria Kiwanuka has asked traders to bear the burden of paying the new taxes which have been imposed on some god because its aimed at widening the tax base to enable the government to fulfill all its constructional obligations.

Kiwanuka says there are so traders who have been operating informal business but the government has directed URA to register and formalize all small businesses to start paying taxes to the government.

Kiwanuka made the remarks awhile officiating at the opening ceremony in International Chamber of Commerce conference held in Kampala.
