The Environmental Law Centre at the School of Law at Makerere University in conjunction with European Union funded IGAD Integrated Water Resource Management Program (IWRMP) will conduct a Regional course in International Water Law, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at the School of Law.

The Integrated Water Resource Management Program (IWRMP) regional course in international water law will run from the 25th to 27th June 2014 in the Lower Lecture Theatre, Makerere University Kampala.

The Integrated Water Resource Management Program (IWRMP) aims at among other things, assisting IGAD member states in the improvement of policy and legal frameworks for water resources management through the development of recommendations for regional policy and legal instruments and the provision of support in policy and law implementation.

The Course that will be conducted by the internationally recognized experts in water law, policy and administration intends to provide officials nominated by the Governments of the IGAD member states with exposure to topics of international water law.
