MP Nambooze asked to apologise to parliament for spreading rumours

Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament, Betty Nambooze has been asked to apologise to parliament for lying to parliament and the public.

Nambooze claimed that 100 MPs had signed the attendance book but all had left without actually attending the session. It was later discovered that the actual number of MPs that had signed and absconded was way lower than 100.

Now it is definitely despicable for an honorable member of parliament to start peddling lies just to make a point but the issue here shouldn’t be deviated from.

The issue really was not how many MPs that had signed the attendance book and actually don’t attend. But the issue was that something like this was happening in the first place.

Nambooze made the public to think that the MPs were behaving like high school students dodging preps.
