Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) president Dr. Olara Otunnu has said that Ugandans must make sure that their country is led by indigenous Ugandans, not Museveni. Olara was speaking in refrence to claims in the public that Museveni might be not a Ugandan.

Dr Otunnu says that president Museveni has divided the people of Northern and southern Uganda and that he must go. Otunnu was addressing an opposition political rally in Mukono on Tuesday. The rally was attended by Otunnu, Col. Kizza Besigye and FDC president Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu.

Olara says that Museveni is used up except that he has remained in people’s minds who think he is strong. He said Museveni’s government is like a tree whose root Ugandans must cut. The UPC President calls upon Ugandans to sharpen the axe.
