NRM government replaces National anthem

President Museveni’s government found Uganda with a national anthem. But it is now replacing it with a new national anthem. The NRM government says the new national anthem will promote Uganda as a top tourism destination in Africa.

The minister of Uganda for tourism Miria Mutagamba says the NRM government has contracted an artiste and playwriter Alex Mukulu to write the new national anthem.

Mutagamba says the new national anthem will help Ugandans to know their country’s history, riches, and future. The new national anthem will highlight sunshine, brotherhood, strong religious faith, land and people.
