There was drama at Katwe police station in Kampala today when a taxi driver drove to police to report the passengers on board who had hired him to transport their drugs to Kampala city.
The passengers, their names withheld, are currently detained at Katwe Police station pending investigations. Joseph Musoke, the driver, says when the passengers hired him, he noticed they had marijuana.
The marijuana was wrapped in their luggage. The suspects told police that they were transporting the drugs to Kampala where they were going to sell it to business tycoons.
The suspects acknowledge that they knew the act was illegal and begged for forgiveness. The police commended driver Musoke for the noble act and called upon all Ugandans to emulate him.
