Masaka this week is a centre of political activities and political battles in Uganda: President Museveni was at Kako SSS yesterday. The Vice President Edward Ssekandi Kiwanuka today launched Ssekandi Edward Road at Ttala-Bukunda though residents have warned him not to step there.

The Democratic Party Bukoto Central delegates’ meet is on today. The people of Masaka also saw 400 delegates at Kyanamukaka Community Hall for the DP “general meeting which began at 9am today.

The President General of DP, the Lord Mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago and all DP MPs attended.

President Yoweri Museveni advised the people of Masaka district to embrace modern commercial farming. Museveni was the guest of honor at celebrations marking the Golden Jubilee of Kako Secondary School in Masaka district. The coincided with a fund raising drive to raise capital for the rehabilitation of the ageing facilities of the school.
