General Aronda speaks out on country’s security

The minister of internal affairs Gen. Aronda Nyakairima has assured the public and international tourists that Uganda is a safe country and there is no insecurity like it has been reported by some media outlets.

While addressing journalists at media Centre in Kampala, the minister said that the country`s armed forces; Police, Intelligence and the army are on full alert in all public places and tourists areas, he added that violence was reported in a few isolated areas of Western Ugandan in the Rwenzori region but the situation is under control and the business is going on as usual.

Aronda said that Police and the army arrested the criminals that tried to disrupt the peace and tranquility enjoyed by every human being in all parts of the Uganda, he said that these criminals are now facing the courts of law and many of them have asked the government to be given amnesty while many others have surrendered themselves to the authorities.
