Religious Leaders Want Anti-Gay Law Re-considered

Pastors under their umbrella association “Port Bell Pastors’
Fellowship” have petitioned parliament this morning calling for its
immediate re-consideration of the Anti Homosexuality Act which was
recently nullified by the constitutional court on 1st August on
grounds that it was passed without quorum.
The pastors with their followers have said that this law is quickly
needed to address moral decadence which is at its increase in Uganda
due to western influences.
Lamanzaani Mukisa the chairman of Port Bell Pastors’ Fellowship says
that Uganda has needs to preserve its cultures and traditions which
are mainly based on the promotion God’s Will rather than satanic
deeds.

ground regarding the Anti-Homosexuality Law and not to take double
stands if he wants to win popular support from Ugandans.

members of parliament for not taking the matter seriously which made
them not raise the required quorum during the passing of this law.

themselves from parliament will lose their seats come 2016 because
they do not know they are incompetent.

immediately re-tabled and passed in a way to protect children, further
calling upon all concerned parties to join this campaign for the
enactment of this law.
