The NRM parliamentary caucus has today handed over the parliamentary caucus select committee report on party primaries which recommends that the party endorses M7 as the party’s sole candidate for 2016 polls as well the chairperson of the party among other issues.
Speaking at the handover ceremony today at state house Entebbe the president who also doubles as the party chairman applauded the committee and MPs who traversed the country to search for information contained in the report.
M7 also demands that the party secretariat build fast interactions between the secretariat and the branches to keep the party very vibrant.
However, on handing over the, the chairperson of the select committee, Rosemary Seninde says the report will also be discussed by the caucus at length though she was free to give some of the highlights of the report which include the party’s secretary general not to hold any other post in the nation, voting through adult suffrage and independents to be let free to operate since they are championing democracy among other highlights.
